At Black Gold we are devoted to performing all work in a safe manner. Our goal of zero recordable incidents is evident in the way we optimize our safety program and policies. We have developed standard operating procedures for all the tasks we perform both in-house and for our clients. Our safety system is constantly reviewed to reflect changes in our operations and regulations.
Health & Safety
We are IRP 16 registered and hold a valid SECOR for both of our companies. Our operations are licensed to operate and hold WCB accounts in the provinces of Alberta and BC. We adhere to transportation requirements set forth in the National Safety Code as apparent in our Safety Fitness Certificate. Subscriptions to both ISNetworld and the Canada HSE Registry are maintained to ensure client specific requirements are met.
The task of ensuring compliance with the various regulatory bodies is handled by our full time safety coordinator.
Significant training occurs to ensure that our employees are competent in all aspects of their job description. Employment begins with a thorough orientation prior to any worker placement. We have developed a short service employee program based on ENFORM's Green Hands for Green Hands to assist in new/green worker training and to increase their visibility in the field. Standard Operating Procedures are reviewed by worker, trainer, and supervisor before workers are dispatched to a new job.
